Ehhh... so I know I said I was going to paint them black, I decided to bolt them and see how I liked it... Money is tight right now, I don't need to waste it on a car that is a DD. So this is how it will stay until I have money to screw with. Time to quit pouring as much money in to cars, Im in college.

You know it isn't as bad as I thought.. The gap is HUGE... but there's NO way around it, I don't feel like buying 26's and they're tough to fit on an exploder anyway. I may drop it a couple inches, and call it a day. Anyway, I like the color now... I think it looks pretty decent, better than I expected. Good for a Daily Driver.

I hate big chrome rims, but they look surprisingly good on your truck - oh and your charger is very, very nice. We don't have them in Oz just yet; but we have the Ford XR6 Turbo or XR8 Boss 290 instead (270 and 290 kw - around 360 & 390 HP).

the explorer looks great...i really like the 24's...did you niteshad the tails? the headlights would look great with a little niteshade too...what size tires you rockin? if you went with a higher profile tire would it hide the gap and not rub?

Well, the gap is there no matter what you do, buddy of mine has 26's on his, and the gap is still there. The gap seems almost the same reguardless, it's tough to explain but ADDING tire = more black space, which makes it LOOK bigger... does that make any sense?

Plus supposedly this is the only tire that you can put on 24's without rubbing.

I dont want to VHT the outside of the headlights, pretty perminant. I will probably buy blacked out housings (painted inside) or take them apart and paint the inside myself I haven't decided yet what I will do.

Yes the tails are VHT niteshades, 2 THICK coats, 1 hour apart. :)

Thank you for the compliments!

Thank you, I'm glad you like them. I'm not sure if I like the wheels, but the truck's color is def growing on me. Thank you for the compliments on both rides.

haha no I didn't detail it, just cleaned it. The dealer detailed it before I bought it though ;)

Sam, u gettin that 03 XLT?

Why oh why would you do such a thing to a perfectly good Explorer!? To me it just looks - wrong. Sorry to be a detractor from all of the positive comments, but had to give my .02

Lookin sick, i only have 2 gripes.

1) I'm not a fan of blacked out corners; iirc they look awkward.

2) You have bigass rims on low pro's and I see snow on the ground. imo, ftl.

The charger is lookin sick as usual.

what most people don't know about rims in the winter, is that if you clean them once a week or two, no damage happens. Those davins (6200 rims) on my charger... 4 winters. Clean as a whistle. No pitting no nothing.

And the corners do look funny, I think I am going to tint the INSIDE of the headlight housing (leave the circles chrome, but the back will be black)

Thanks again!

No need to apologize man, opinions are like a$$holes, everyone's got one.

I'm not in to off roading, when I used to be I F***ed up my explorer (1995) every weekend. Stock vehicles are out of the question with me.

I like being flashy, it's just my theme. To each his own man. Honesty is a virtue, no hard feelings bro.

nice set of rides. someone should photo shop the rims gloss black to see what it looks like. i would add the chrome like you have on the charger by the windows and chrome door handles

I don't want to cover my car in chrome.. the pillars on the charger is the only "cheap" chrome I have, I call those mods "pep boys" mods, not my thing, you know?

I dont want handles especially.

Thanks though for the compliments! :)

Both cars look nice, I'm not a fan of the lambo doors(except on lambos) but that's just my opinion. Keep up the good work, and I hope to see more mods in the future!

By definition, they're vertical doors... lambo doors open at a different degree.

I totally understand your logic, though. In theory, lots of things were developed on a certain car and developed on to others. I dont like lambo's any more.

my thing is that there just isn't enough rubber or sidewall for my liking for the winter, with my style of "i'll make my own damn road" driving lol.

Although I am thinking of dropping some 255/50/20's on the mountaineer with a set of the 20" 4th gen mounty rims.
