3rd row seats power buttons stopped working

No motor sounds either. Is there a standard workflow for troubleshooting this problem? Check fuses...remove button plate and check wires...bang on the buttons...curse loudly...bang on the seats...curse even louder...perform a rain dance...............?

I had the fuse replaced in the fuse box under the hood, but it still did not work. The mechanic replaced the fuse in the fuse box located under the dash. Whst I don't know is which fuse? If you look at the fuse diagram for this location, it doesn't list the 3rd row power seat. I'm confused!
