What steps/upgrades would be required to bump a 4.0L OHV V6 up to around 200 HP and 250(+) ft/lb torque? Is it worth it, or does a 5.0L V8 conversion make more sense?

Depending on how old your engine is you can get close with cat back, headers, throttle body, free flow intake, and a chip. Search this site for Dyno, or heads you will get one of Flyguys threads where he did some tests. Hes probably close to 200 with the above mods.

Nick you get a dyno with the Super chip in yet? What was the result?

I think that to get above that you need to get a cam, MAF and some tuning-that may get another 15-20 hp . The BBk blower is out that could get to 225 in theory, but no one has replorted yet so dont know- check the thread "on my way to a supercharger".

Some day Ill be able to tell you about a header, cam, TB, MAF, Chip combo since that is what I plan to run, but I still need to open the intake, get a MAF and a chip-do some tuning. Oh yea I need to tighten up my trans also, probably not worth sticking it on the Dynojet with a 160k tranny!

Have fun and good luck
