If that is true then that is awesome, but how is the BORE in the block?

Is it scratched?

Hone or Bore and if Bore/Hone needs to be done that = 6 new pistons and rings to the over amount, say its 10, 20 or even 30 thousands of an inch.

You would then need 10 over or 20 over or 30 over pistons and rings, depends on how much boring needs to be done and/or if it needs to be done.

So i would tear it down to see, before doing anything else.

If it needs 30 over bore.... scrap the block and try and find another good block or motor... 30 over is pushing the cylinder bore pretty thin and if a blow up occurs the motor is pretty much done at that bore. 10 thousands is OK and 20 over is the most i would go.
