ran my 1998 4.0ltr SOHC on a scan tool the other day to find out if there were any problems, because it was using heaps of fuel. turns out the oxygen sensors are dead as a door nail. now i want to replace them but i can't even get to the plug. plus i want to solder new plugs on the loom to use other type of sensors with different plug. but more to the point, has anyone changed their oxy sensors on a similar setup before and how did they get in behind the engine to change them?

thanx alot guys im stuck driving a little 1.3ltr suzuki.....you gotta help me!

the zuki gets great mileage... i have changed o2 sensors, they are pretty easy.. and they arent too confined either.....

they have 4 wires.... and the replacement ones come with wiring and harnesses

On the SHOC the right side front can be made easier by taking the right front wheel off and removing the fender liner.
Left can be done easly from underneath.

yeah might try taking the inner wheel trim out thanx......oh my X is RHD so its probs totally different....man i can barely even touch the rhs one(jamed up between the block and the firewall)....and the left is tucked way up where i cant ever reach with my hands.

does anyone know of or have a set of oxy sensors for sale?

thanx again guys.

bump.......i need more if help if anyone has any ideas, cheers
