You can find them at most auto parts stores but if you don't know how to install you are going to need to have a shop do it. What size tires are you running? Why do you want 4.56 gears?

You saw Todd Z's green ST didn't you? He has alot of mods done to his drivetrain other then just gears, he runs the myst.com site and run Zabteck Technologies, he sales aftermarket goodies for our Trac's on there. Check it out. Unless your running 33's or bigger then there's no need for steeper gears, 4.10's are good enough, even if you have 3.73's your good with stock size tires.

Doesn't a higher gear ratio help out with towing?

I use my trac to tow our family camper and just wanted something that'd pull better. I have 4:10 now so is it worth it? Haha.

4.10 is good for towing with stock size tires. 4.56 is gonna scream on the highway. You could always do some engine mods to get some more power.

Oh also, each axle will be about $500 or so to regear. You could do some nice engine mods for that kind of $$.

Ouch haha. I'm getting 33's soon. Should fit with a TT and shackles right?

Not without some trimming. I have the same lift with 265/75/16 (31.6"x10.4") and and I get rubbing when I turn the wheels all the way to the left and I have to trim a little off the bottom corner of the front bumper. You really want to have the 3" body lift to runs 33s.

Hmmm. Well... Maybe 33's aren't my thing then :) I'll have to play around with tire sizes. I'm tight with a manager for the IN Goodyear chain. I'm sure she can help me out with sizing haha. Thanks for the help clusterpup!

No problem man.

Here's a link that will help you figure out tire sizes with rim sizes. It'll tell you what the metric sizes total out to be in inches.

Yes. If you tow a lot it would be worth it and easier on the tranny, but you should tow with the OD switched off anyway.

That being said, going from 4.10 to 4.56 isn't a real big difference, i.e. probably not worth the money unless you have bigger tires or other mods.
