Hi all
Never seen 4 gen Explorer with Mounty led tails
So decided to purchase in ebay pair of used Mounty led tails.
1.Hate this chrome bezels so - painted with Rustoleum matte black:
By the way if you have these strange kind of tail light with Russia sticker on,you also will need to get a kind of ford plastic grommet mounts.
2. For harness modify get an 18-22 awg heat shrinkable sleeves and multimeter.
3.No need to modify any kind of body parts.fits perfectly.
4.As build file needs to be changed (or u will get turn light warning and hyper flash) similar to F150 procedure- bulb outage control disable mode.
5.Honesly..looks a bit strange...but my old tail lights are ugly and broken anyways =))
About dimensional difference...its almost the same..i mean maybe will need to push your rear bumper a bit downwards...but no any major installation problem..no need to cut your bumper
