4" radio SYNC 3 Lite

So I've got a project FPIU in my possession currently. It's missing the radio and APIM. It seems to be SYNC equipped as well. Has anyone here ever done a 4" SYNC to SYNC 3 Lite? It has the same APIM as the 8" SYNC 3. I don't really want to invest to much money into this radio and I have the parts for this already on hand (relatively soon). It doesn't need anything fancy. How would this work out? Personally like the layout of this over the stock FPIU radio. This probably the most odd post posted here .

Never seen it done, the Sync 3 4" APIM in the F150 etc is the same APIM as an 8" unit just with a different firmware/software loaded. While it looks/works marginally better than "sync 1" I doubt it'd be worth the pain to try and blaze that trail alone.
