There is a reason Superlift is charging more for there lift.
I installed one on my previous 95 Explorer and was willing to pay the extra money for it. Why? You ask? First and foremost take a look at the steering knuckles. The Trailmaster Kit uses extenders that you bolt-on on top of the OEM Knuckles, while Superlift actually forged entirly new Steering knuckles that are 4 inches longer and have lower steering tie rod mounts eliminating the need for that "dual-rack" drop down bracketry that Trailmaster uses. Secondly, look at the crossmember that connects the two torsion bar mounts together. The Trailmaster Kit drops the Brackets AND the the Transmission cross-member leaving more crap hanging down to get hung up on things while supporting the transmission and Transfer case with those two little spacers. The Superlift Kit does not drop that crossmember, only the torsion bar brackets. Plus you get a skid plate for the front!
In my opinion, I think that the Superlift Kit is a cleaner, more well thought out lift then the Trailmaster Kit is.
I just saw the other night on 4Wheel Parts web site that they are now selling BOTH kits for nearly the same price. The only additional part you have to buy is a spring-over- axle conversion kit from superlift for $135.00 because their kit is made for the Ranger which has an axle under design so Superlift gives you blocks and add-a-leafs.
