OK my explorer is 2wd, but many of you know i am in the process of doing a Solid axle swap, but my car is now an hour away bc i started college, and i dont have the time or ride to get back for atleast a few more weeks. Which then i will hopefully finish it in one sitting.
But anyways, the sas was just my first step to 4wd. Right now i have the opportunity to purchase a fellow 01 sports transmission with 44k 4x4, the car was totaled.
IN addition to this transmission i will need a tranfercase(manual will be easiest) and front and rear drive shafts and matching differential gears.What else? Do i need a new computer/computerchip to correspond with the transmission?
I know this is another huge project and i wasnt planning on taking it up for a year or so but i think i have a deal on this transmission that i dont want to pass by.
