4 wheel drive conversion

I think the GEM is what controls the electric shift transfer case. if you're going elec shift, you need whatever the GEM was designed for. If its a 2nd Gen GEM then you'd need a BW4405 or whatever came in the V6 2nd Gens.

alright, well, not wondering if the 4x4 tailshaft will bolt on with the hardware from the 2x4 tailshaft? and what gears i should run for 32s and still get good mpgs

I don't know about the tailshaft.

I have 3:73s with 32s and my mileage has suffered. I will be going to 4:56, but I don't plan on doing any freeway driving after the gears.

i had thought about 456s also but didnt know if it was too much for 32s, i currently have 327s....im fixing to redo the front end, ball joints, tie rod ends and shocks all around and shackles, already done new front bearings and brakes all around..the whole nine yards, one more month and ill be out of the ADC Academy, my rig has 282k miles, so will probably rebuild the rearend with all bearings, seals, plus 456s and maybe positrac?:D then im gunna go throught the trans next and also install the transfercase and a shift kit

which wold keep my rpms closer to normal with 32s? 456, or 410? i wanna stay as close to normal as possible because its my dd
