4 Wheel Drive Problems

I have an '02 Explorer Sport and recently its decided it doesn't like driving in
2WD, It switches from 2wd to 4wd low on its own, does anyone have any suggestions aside from changing the 4wd controller, any help would be apreciated

Can you please describe what it's doing in a bit more detail? What it does and when it does it... It's not possible for the t-case to shift into low range while driving without destroying itself...

sorry bout that It doesn't shift into 4WD Low completly but the light will flick on and you can hear something in the drivetrain grinding and it'll make a loud bang and it'll just keep doin it until I let the truck warm up and unplug the
4wd controller and plug it back in. It also will do it if I leave for work on a cold morning and try to shift into 4wd High, It won't shift but you can hear something clicking in the 4wd controller and then you get the same loud banging and shuddering of the drivetrain and the speedo will go all screwy (saying im doin 160km/h when im only doin around 60). I think i'll just have to change the control module but I wanted to make sure before doin anything to it
