some rangers will work but dont use a bronco II the Front axle is only a dana 28 and the T-case needs to be a BW 13-54 and the front axle needs to be a dana 35..
Thanks for the info, this leads me into a few more questions. How do I konw if the transfer case is a BW 13-54, are they marked on the factory atachments, like a differentail with its little number ID tag thingy. And are Dana 35's factory equipment for rangers, say from 1990-1995? Do Bronco II's have the BW 13-54 tansfer case? If you can aswer any of these your help will be greatly apretiated.
go to advanced or somewhere and look at one of the haynes manuals. it is hard to tell by the outside of the housing. a 13-54 and a 4405 look the same from the outside.
The 1350 and 1354 have the same transmission bolt pattern. Either one will bolt up to a stock transmission.
The electric shift 1350 and 1354 use the same shift motor and wire pin out.
The low range ratio on the 1350 is 2.5. On the 1354 it is 2.8.
The rear driveshaft flange is the same.
The front driveshaft is completly different. The 1350 uses a slip joint within tcase. The 1354 has a spicer ujoint flange and the slip joint is within the shaft. Both use the same ujoint on the differential side.
The Dana 35 was not standard on the ranger some where dana 28. But you can find then on rangers bronco II's never came from the factory with a dana35.
