Guys,
I'm looking for Opinions on "Monster Transmission" Kits.
Specifically I am doing a 331 Stroker on my 5.0L.
Since the current transmission has 100K plus it will be done as well.
Engine will be Eagle 331 Forged set up with reworked GT-40P heads and TMH headers and Gibson Exhaust.
The cam will be selected once the lower block and heads are done so I can get the correct CC values.
I'm not track running but I am pulling a large boat so I need the low end grunt to pull up the ramp plus some street fun. Cutting a few $$ off by not getting aftermarket heads here. Those will go on the 86 Mustang. Next project!
I was looking at the Monster 4R70SS Mega Monster + 2300-2500 stall. I'll thrown in a new pump just to be sure.
8.8 (3.73) rear end is already done with FMS Carbon Fiber Clutch pack set up.
Live Dyno PCM tune once it's all put together. I could do the transmission myself but I sold off all the special tools when I got out of the business.
I have a buddy who still owns a transmission \ 4WD custom shop so we'll do it over there.
Monster Transmission Parts are: ????????
Thanks,
Chris
