4WD High & Low Blinking

Yesterday I was driving and all of a sudden the 4wd High and 4WD Low lights on my guages started blinking! So, I timed the sequence of the blinking and it was 6 times every 1:59 minutes. I did some seach here on the forum and did the first step by removing the negative on the battery for 15 minutes and it worked! I tried 4WD Low and 4WD High and my transmission seems to be ok.

Is there anything else that I should know about the 6 times blinking warning lights?

Oh, by the way, I checked my rear transfer case and there seems to be a rubber hose that used to be connected (I think) and it just goes upward no where. Is that like a breather or drain or something ???

You should only have a single transfer case. And yes, the trans, t case, and both differentials will have a breather. The light blinking just means there was a fault in the system. It's the 4x4's check engine light. It might come backs, as intermittant things can cause them to go on, and stay on.

i was doing some modifications to my roof and ended up blowing the fuse to the interior lights. i didnt know i had blown the fuse and was driving and had the 4wd high and low blink. i didnt have a clue. what i dicovered is that the interior lights and the 4wd system are on the same fuse... stupid! your stuffed if you blow a glob in the middle of nowhere and your've forgotten your spare fuses!@
