4wd issue?

I'll be short and to the point.

Just bought an 01 explorer sport. 4wd didn't work so I got a new module. Went into 4wd but sounded like grinding and clanking when I tried to drive. Then couldn't get out of 4wd. When I did, or according to the dash I did, nothing changed it is still acting like when it was put in 4wd.

In neutral all wheels spin freely except front passenger.

Where to start? Advice? Please

Is your front passenger wheel currently locked up?
If not, are you in high range?

In any case start with transfer case. Something tells me your going to find broken parts inside there.
