4x4 Help!!!

4x4 Experts I need your help. I have a '93 XLT that I do not 4x4 with very often. Now, when I select "4 High or Low" nothing happens. I get no lights on the dash by the switch or on the gauge panel. I have checked the 4X4 fuse and it appears to be good.

Is this an electrical proplem or is my transfer case messed up? What do you all recommend as preventitive maintenance on a 4X4 system that doesn' t get much use?

warm it up and have someone sit in the driver seat and put in in neutral and put foot on the break then push the 4-high button while you are underneith tapping on the electric motor on the t-case, engine running of course, if that doesnt work do a search for 4x4 not working, you will get a ton of threads to read, good luck
