4x4 light.

I have a 94 Ranger that I just replaced the transmission in(3.0 5 speed).After driving for 2 days the 4x4 Low light came on and wont go off. Didn't push the switch-just came on. Doesn't seem to be in 4wd but can't get light off. Any ideas?
