4X4 messed up

OK, I have a 98 xlt and even though the four wheel drive knob is set to off, the four high and low lights blink on and off when the car is started and occasionally when I am driving. I can also feel that car is stuck in four high.

What's wrong? Please Help.

if the lights are blinking, that means there is a problem with the electrical system with the 4wd. i would start a thread in the transmission section as you will get a better response. I would have someone check it while you're underneath the truck to see if the shift motor is doing anything. if not it will most likely be the PCM or a wire connecting the two, like i said it's not a good thing, and if it feels like your in 4wd, more then likely you are stuck.
