I don't know what happened but I shut off my 97 limited, started it 10 seconds later and now the fan only blows on high and when I go to shut the air off completely it just blows on high defrost. ad to go for a 3 hour trip and the heat was killer! I only have heat right now because the blend door is broken and I don't have 800 bucks to get it fixed. I don't care about not having cold air and no A/C, this is my winter vehicle but only having it on high and it nevering shutting off sucks.

Anyone have this problem? or know a solution?

Thanks.

Blower resistor pack.

First off, you can fix the blend door for a whole lot less than $800. A replacement blend door is about $20. I believe Rock sells them. If you search on the forum, you'll find a bunch of threads on how to replace the blend door w/o removing the dash. Basically, you cut a hole in the bottom of the heater plenum, under the glove box, for access. Find the threads, you'll prob find an easy to follow step-by-step, w/ pics.

As for your other problem, do you have manual or electronic climate control? If you have the electronic one, the modules are know to go bad. Again, search and/or google will dig up some step-by-step testing/repair info. Or, you could just swap it with a known good one, if you can find one.

ummm, yeah, or the blower resistor. He must have typed faster then me. :-)

hmmm it was made in 09 96 but its a 97 limited......it's the electronic
