My 99 ford ranger's 4 wheel drive will work intermittently. when it works it
works great than for no reason I know of it won't work for weeks
and one day its back working again.When its not working you can put it into 4x4 low it down shifts
the tranmission into low range but no 4 wheel drive,put into high its shifts back into high but no 4 wheel drive.I think its somewere in the vacuum componts thats not locking the hubs in, if it was a vacuum leak it wouldn't be a intermittent problem would it? Were do I look first. Any and all ideas are welcome.
