4x4H light will not go out.

I have a 1994 Explorer, after using the 4x4 during the snow last week, I Hit the button to turn 4x4 off which it did shift out. Next thing i notice is the 4x4H light came back on its own but did not shift into 4 wheel drive.
Now no matter what i try the light will not go out and i can't get the truck into any 4x4. Has anyone ran into this problem or know what could cause this?

Not sure if mine is the same problem. Mine Is stuck in 4H brightly lit with the 4x4 light lit to. but truck is only in 2w drive. i can not get it to go in 4h or 4L.
Keep hitting buttons but no change lights stay lit.
Also im not hearing any noice when pressing buttons. Thinking about pulling switch out. Does anyone know what is the best way to pull out the switch?
