5.0 Engine & Manual Tranny

'98 5.0 Engine & Manual Tranny = Computer Unhappy?

Looking to swap a NP435 behind the explorer 302. when replacing the electronic tranny, will the computer get unhappy without inputs form the tranny?

Someone out there has to know if the ECU will get schitty if it's not hearing from the transmission.

as far as i know, no one here has done a manual swap on the 5 liter. i would assume you could get a chip burned with a transmission delete.

You will need to have a custom chip burned to eliminate the trans functions from the EEC. Otherwise, it will throw a CEL. Several people on RPS have done this with their Ranger V8 conversions when using manual tranny or Baumann TCS.
