i am looking for an exhaust kit to go with the torquemonster headers i am getting, sound is not and issue and the louder the better. but since i have the 5.0 i seem to be very limited in what kinds i can get, that i know of mac, gibson, and dynomax make kits, but i cant find anywhere but explorer express that sells them. so are their others out there? and where can i get them?

You dont have to buy a kit, just get the muffler shop to bend the pipes for you. And you say the louder the better, go with some One chamber Flowmasters. I'm putting some on after new wheels.

see the problem is it can only take a very limited number of mufflers because of the independent exhaust untill the muffler this means you either have to jimmy rig 2 mufflers on there side up there or get a special one

I don't get what your saying, but if your talking about space, the one chamber are rather small. If you go another route, take your spare, put it in the back of the X and run the exhaust out that way.

Chopin knows the deal with this. Just go to a shop and have them custom bend some pipes for you. Flowmaster makes dual-in dual-out mufflers for our application (5.0 explorers). I recently had true-duals put on with dual Flowmaster 40's and it sounded very similar to the 89' 5.0 LX in the shop that had the same set-up. I couldn't be happier.

Neither of these are mine, but I could get some pics and or soundclips if you really wanted.

thanks guys, i think im gonna try to run the same setup as scormunch's first pic any idea how much that would cost with the flowmasters?

I have that same exact setup and paid $425... I know some people got it for a $375, and some paid almost $500...

Just shop around... it also depends on the area you live in. Good luck! :p You won't regret it for a second!
