Back on topic, guys...
The TKO is one heck of a trans. You could put a transfer case behind it, but it would need to be "divorced" like an old NP205. A divorced case has a yoke-style input shaft, and is connected via a short (6" or less) driveshaft between the 2wd style trans tailshaft and the t-case input shaft. The t-case needs its own support crossmember.
Married T-cases, like most vehicles have, including the stock explorer, bolt directly to the back of the transmission which has a 4wd tailshaft housing and male-splined shaft. The t-case does not have its own crossmember.
No one has made a 4wd tailshaft for the TKO.
Unfortunatley, there is not enough room under the Explorer to run a divorced t-case, without removing the gas tank and running a short rear driveshaft.
