Hey there,

My 5 speed cuts out some times when I engage the clutch. It has 185XXX km / 115XXX miles on her. This happen regardless to whether the motor is at operating tempurature or not.

I am thinking a sensor or something else is dirty maybe? IAC is new and recent plug and wire are also on the list of thing I have recently maintenanced. The truck is in great shape and pulls as it did 100,000 km / 60,000 miles ago.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Tranny fluid is fine. No CEL. I would rather try other things first before having to spend $100 + dollars for codes that may or may not be existent.

No it doesn't happen very often, but it happens. For example, I could be approching a red light. I am at full operating temp, and I push my clutch in to gear down. When I get slow enough and down shift to second or first gear, it might cut out randomly while the clutch is engaged or between gears.

Similarly, it might simply just cut out when I drop the clutch a bit much with out giving much gas. This may sound normal, but I have owned the X for a while, and this is something new.

It doesn't happen very often and it's not impeding on the everyday operation of the vehicle; it just happens every now and then. All the same, I would love to find out what the hell is going on all the same...
