Hello everyone 
97 Ranger XLT 2wd, auto, 4.0 5R55E
Trans and torque converter was rebuilt in 2017. 200,000+ miles
started shuddering when switching from 2-3(40-50mph or so) then started to high rev. The rpm would jump when this would occur. Then it wouldn't accelerate normally in D ( this is when I found out that my 1st gear doesn't seem to exist) narrowing down my initial issue but need to figure out this 1st gear problem
Not my first vehicle but is my first automatic as well as Ford. Anyways
What I've done so far:
Pcv
Rear Speed sensor
Filter
Gasket(cork)
Valve body gaskets
Solenoid harness
I can't really find anything on how to adjust the shift linkage cable so that 1st gear will work. Can anyone shoot me a link to a step by step video or advice please and thank you ?!
