5r55s Double engagement or harsh reverse

Hey GB,
I'm actually working to resolve the issue still as we speak. I had purchased a new PCM from Flagship 1 which changed the way the car shifted dramaticly, but did not fix the issue. I just brought the car to the tranny shop yesterday to have the solenoid pack replaced. I chose to replace the solenoid pack because the car finally gave codes, P0963 and p0748. Open circuit to/in solenoid A. It took a very long time for this code to set, I've driven the car almost 4K miles with the issue. I'll post back here by Monday to let you know if it worked. Upon further research I've found that in 99% of cases the PCM goes bad, its because of bad coils. My coils were fine so I was stupid to spend big $ on the PCM
Just to clarify, you're talking about the spark plug coil pack?

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I'm in search of a repair for my PCM now from a different issue.

Correct. Not sure what your situation or vehicle is but I can tell you that the 5r55s/n had some quirks in 02-04. If you got an Explorer/LS/ Aviator in those years LMK. I've got plenty of content that may be helpful to you.

Hi JK and GB. I've replaced the solenoid pack and the issue persists. The tranny shop thinks its the PCM still. The PCM I got from Flagship 1 must have had the same issue as me. Here's some literature he gave me.
