5r55s Wont move when cold

This morning when I going to work my truck didnt move when put into gear. Forward or reverse wouldnt work until the motor was revved. It had been fine until today. The temperature was in the low teens and works fine after warming up. 2010 XLT with 41k on the odometer. I did some searching and read about the cold start valve and was wondering if this could be the problem. Anyone else had this problem ? Just got rid of a 5r55w and really would like to get ahead of this problem. Thanks.

Check the fluid level.

I was hoping that I had gotten away from that P.I.T.A. job lol but that was my initial thought. Dont see any leaks though.
