Hi everyone, long time lurker here. I have a question about my '02 explorer. I recently put in a rebuilt jasper engine and about 5,000 miles later the tranny went out. I have narrowed it down to being the pump. As I disconnect the line at the trans cooler and run down through the gears with the shifter no fluid comes out. I do have enough fluid in the trans. My question is are the transmissions tough to remove and install? I have a guy who builds Allison transmissions that will give me a full bench rebuild if I buy parts. Buy getting the tranny to him is my problem. I would consider myself fairly mechanically inclined. So if anyone has some helpful insight I would be very appreciative. Thank you.
