Hi folks, I have a 2003 Explorer with about 97,000 miles on it. I started getting the O/D Off blinking light and found a P0775 trouble code. The truck just doesn't seem to want to go into 2nd gear. It holds 1st on the way up too long, and if you push on the gas while going about 30 mph it will bypass 2nd and shift into 1st sending the rpms very high. I followed some of the advice on here and replaced the solenoid block then did a band adjustment. I'm still having the same problem. The truck will go into 2nd if I let off of the gas after accelerating a bit, kind of forcing it in. Does anyone have any ideas on where I should look from here?

Thanks,
Mark

You might have wear in the servo bores, and possibly have bad servo pistons. WWW.ServoBore.Com has a repair kit for the bores, but it will require removing the transmission to fix them. The actual servos could be removed while it's still in the vehicle, but it's hard to get to them.
