6.5 comps in first gen? anyone do this?

Hey i was just wondering if anyone had put 6.5 comps into their gen 1 explorer? how hard is it? thnaks alot

All you need to do is build a mounting bracket. You can build one out of mdf/metal if you can, or buy one from a website. Its not too hard, I have not done it but many here have.

i knw how to do it and all, a 3/4 mdf ring but i just wanted to make sure it wasnt that hard to fit in a first gen. Most of the threads here are with 2nd gens adding 6.5s. so i was just curious.

For the most part, the only thing different between the 1st gen and 2nd gen doors is the shape of the interior plastic.
