I will soon be ordering my shiny new skyjacker lift!
I was looking under my explorer today and began wondering
where exactly the extended radius arms mount to the
frame rails. Will a completly new set of holes need to
be drilled or do the brackets mount to some existing holes.
Anything special about installing the skyjacker I should
be aware of?
THANKS

From my memory the 4" and 6" are the same in respect to the radius arms. On the 4" system you remove the orginal transmission crossmember and bolt the Skyjacker one up in its place I believe you use one or two of the orginal bolt holes per side then you do have to drill some new ones. Watch whats behind where your drilling, fuel, brake, electrical, lines etc... When I installed mine I orginally doubted that the Skyjacker crossmember was long enough, but it did pull the side brackets together. The hardest part of my instalation was removing the stud that holds on the top of the radius arms. According to my manual its on with approx 220 ft lbs of torque and red loctite. It did take me about 2 days to do it. Mostly working on removing the stock parts. Enjoy your project.

6" inches

ok this may be a dumb question but here goes... I was wondering about driveline angles with this lift I see that a new tranny crossmember is included(form the above posts) but is there anything else that needs to be done?? Is everything included in the kit? And I also heard that Skyjacker was discontinueing this lift is that true?? THanksfor all the help guys!

Yes indeed, I called skyjacker and the 6" lift is
discontinued.

boo hoo!

DAMN DAMN DAMN
Do you know when they are discontinueing it are they going to sell the rest of their stock or just halt sales all together?? Well actually I think I will just call them myself and see, but thanks for the info!

Are you kidding me? I bought springs from the 6in lift and swaped them into my 4in class II lift....the drive line angles are fine. I've got the lift and love it!
