7.5 or 8.8 gearing

i have a standard 4.10 axle in back. and a 12 bolt differential. im look for a chrome dif. cover and i need to know, cause im retarded, which one do i get. 7.5 or 8.8?

All explorers 91-2001 come standard with this axle.

7.5's are in rangers and bronco II's
