Well today i just went to my friends (Lucifarian on the board) place after work, we spent about an hour working on his stang gettin the front sway bar off, once that was done we went inside to the garage.

Like normally we were looking around at some car parts, i look on this one shelf and this stock mass air sensor was sitting there (like 60mm err somthing?), i took it off the shelf and looked at it, only to find the sensor was the wrong connection and then went to put it back on the shelf, but suddenly i see this bigger thing, looked kinda like it.

I pull that off the shelf and look at it, took a second to realize, it was the exact same sensor that was on the truck (well at least the connections) however it was an 80mm one (inner diameter) for a cone air filter :D:D:D:D. I immediately put it on the truck, without a filter, and lucifarian and i decided to go for a drive. We pulled out the driveway, stuck er in reverse and laid a 15-20ft stretch of rubber, i had to let off the gas because im afraid of the tire exploding or something. We then went forward for a bit, turned around and did a 0-60mph time. First try we screwed up our coordination and got about 14.7 seconds, then we got the coordination going, and it was low 12's, we were amazed.

So for now shes running without a filter, and i plan to pick one up tomorrow and get some pics :D.

And props to my friend LuCiFaRiAn who gave me it for free :D :chug: !CHEERS! buddy! this has made my day! :chug:

*** EDIT *** IM GOING TO GET A FILTER TOMORROW :D

dont run a car without a filter..... thats like sticking your head out the window driving.... i had to kinda do that with ExplrCnvrtbl... do you have any idea how much road gravel hurts at 50 mph!

Actually I'm curious.... :::walking out to vehicle::: :burnout:

well my truck didnt have a windshiedl at all, and i had to move it from the house i moved out of to the house i was moving to..... i got home and my eyes were basically teared shut... they were swollen too

12sec 0-60? Should be about 4 seconds less.

Hope the calibration on the sensor is correct. If not, you're gonna either blow your motor or ruin your intake and exhaust systems.

perhaps you could share some wisdom on that....

what signs would indicate it is not running the way it is supposed to?

I ran it with the new one, same maf sensor as the one i have now, different aluminum casing. i had no rough idle (except for the fact it needs a filter), and the sound was much better.

ook, i just took the new mass sensor off the truck for now, i wanted to clean it up a little bit so the original is back on with the filter :P.
