Well, to make a long story short, I have recently swapped an engine in my in my 91 xlt, after finally figuring out how to mate the trans and engine up, to what I thought was a success, I turn it over and it starts up, by the way, not ideling, but as it is still on the lift I engage the shift lever into reverse to see if everything works and nothing, and the same goes for any other gear I put it in, automatic by the way. Is there some kind of vacumn hose or something I am forgetting to hook up on the trans or something real serious? It is the original trans and worked fine before. I am just really stuck and figure if I could find an answer anywhere it would be with the Serious Explorations in this forum, you guys are awesome, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Any left over parts?

Did not forget the converter bolts? Did you?

No, I have the converter fully bolted in and what I thought everything else, does there need to be a certain amount of fluid in the torque converter or does that not have anything to do with that? I just don't get it, can there be any fluid, vacumn, or electrical lines I may have crossed or not hooked up that would be affecting that? I am lost?
