I have searched through the old posts for what has been done in the past and gotten a lot of useful information. Some questions that were not addressed though are...

1) What effect does not having the vacuum tubes go to the bimetal sensor on the top of the stock airbox have on engine performance?

2) Can the fender wall handle the weight of the battery over the wheel well? That is the only thing that I am really worried about for moving the battery.

If you guys can answer these questions that would be great.

Has anyone thought of putting the MAF in front of the Throttle body and putting a hole in their hood to make a RAM air setup? I am thinking of getting a junked hood if I can to try this. Let me know what your opinions for something like this would be.

numero uno - pluging that vacuum line has had no impact on performance of the engine in my UnLimited. I pluged it after the instalation of a KKM cone filter.

secondo - some might of moved the battery but you have to make sure that support is a bit more than just the fender well plastic...... that might not be enough. You might have to install sort of a generic battery tray that might be available from your FLAPS...

the ram air hood sounds like a great idea! keep us updated!! :D

I was thinking about doing the hood thing, as it would be even easier with my TB's relocation to the rear of the engine bay. It's just not high on my priorities or budget right now. Just a note: your MAS should be at least 4-6" from your TB so the turbulence at the butterfly doesn't interfere with the sensor.

Ram Air hood probably won't happen until summer and that's if I can find a hood at a junk yard.

Dre, that is what I am most worried about, whether there is enough support there. I was wondering what others that did to support it.

I moved my battery where the airbox used to be.. fit fine.. sagged a little bit, but in never failed even after reckless driving. :)
