'91 auto tranny problem

on a '91 XLT 4x4 the auto tranny runs great when cold but when it reaches operating temp it wont move it's like I have a gearbox full of neutrals can anyone give me a suggestion on how to fix or am I replacing a tranny

thanks I'll give it a try where will I find the vac tree and the band adjustment bolt/screw? THanks for the help I appreciate it
 






The vac tree is on the back of the intake manifold. The band adjustment screws are on drivers side of the transmission. Its a stud with a bolt locking it and a square head.
