91 ex trouble code help

So after rebuild and install I'm pulling two codes 67 and 85. I'm not the dumbest person here but was wondering if there were any common issues with these codes. I'm pretty sure I need the new purge solenoid but the other one I don't understand, neutral safety switch maybe? Any help from you guys is always above any "mechanic" I take it too.

I can't really help you on the purge valve. There's some tests that can be done but I can't remember them.

For the 67 code, try to start the engine with the vehicle in gear (be careful!). That will give you an indication if the switch is bad.

So that probably explains that too the reason I rebuilt was the power steering leak ate through the timing cover so figured do a mild build. But also power steering fluid ruined my alarm system so with it not being able to start from alarm I installed push to start. So with key on it'll start any gear.

Your code sheet is in error..

code 67 for TRUCKS is a/c compressor clutch switch. Not neutral safety..

code 85 is the same though "canister purge circuit fault"

Purge valve is the usual cultprit:

Check the wire loom! both of these systems have wires in the same loom and run near the left exhaust manifold!
