My neighbor is selling his explorer for cheap! If i got enough interest in parting it out i will buy it and sell every thing for cheap! Its white with red interior, he says it runs and has 200k on it, and is clean other than the aged paint on the hood!

If the dogleg/rockers/quarters are in good unrusted shape, How much would you want for them? They can be a pain to cut out, as I did this at my local yard on a rare (to this area) rust free 4-door. I can get some pics of the areas I need if you are interested in doing this.

My white limited needs some rust repair and I would love to use factory sheet metal if at all possible.

I am assuming you guys in Utah don't have the rust issues we have here.

Thanks

Okay PM me the pics of the areas or post them my brother works at a glass shop that is in with a body shop so in cutting them should have access to the tools to do it well. Also no here in southern Utah I there isn't much rust at all if ever. Keep it coming if interested. I would rather part this out for cheap to help forum members rather than let it go to a scrap yard, its in good shape.

When enough interested people I will make new thread in the for sale threads!

Will do, I'll take some pics tomorrow.

It would be a shame for a solid first gen to go to the crusher. I wish I lived out west.. where cars don't rust.

The one I found in the yard was from texas according to the inspection decal. It was literally perfect bodywise and it sucked to think of where it was headed.

We can get it for cheap! Were not looking to make money just trying to help everyone with cheap parts. Anything anyone else would need?

These are the rockers I was able to get. I figured these pics would be better for your reference. I can e-mail you bigger ones if you need, let me know.

I would really like to have from the front fender all the way back but if its to big a PITA or if you need to cut it down for shipping do so, but if you could get what is pictured that would be perfect. I need both sides. The junk yard sold them for $35 for the pair, but you will have some labor in getting them out. Let me know about a price.

I don't know if you will be able to go higher into the crown around the rear wheel to get more of the dogleg, if you can get as much as possible. I was working with limited time and battery tools so I had to make quick, easy cuts.

The most important part is the inside portion of the rocker, as that is what is not reproduced by new parts. You can see where i cut through a floor support cross beam to save the inner support portions of the rockers.

Thanks man

In the first pic you can see the sound deadening foam, Ford put in the dogleg. I think this stuff holds moisture and causes the rot common in this area. That stuff ain't going back in when I'm done.

Okay sounds good. More or less need the rocker for the whole back door. Do you know a rough idea on weight? And your zip and Ill look into some shipping options.

Hmm.. say 20 lbs, I'll weigh the part and post it. Zip is 41014.

1st off how much is he asking for the whole thing?

Is it an auto or stick?

2x4 or 4x4?

What gears or do you know all of it can make deference to many.
As for me I would love to have the pass side rear door for my 93 save me from fixing mine but its most likely more for your door then a cheap fix on mine.

The miles if it was taken care off are not bad and depending on the price one could even turn it around and use it as a build truck or what ever
I do think your right in parting it out over a crusher but my self I would rather see it still breathe as a whole truck then a part out but both better then a crush.

I need a engine wiring harness for my 91 I also would buy shifter cable, if its a auto and accelerator cable let me know if your getting it there could be more I'd want.... thanks Brian

I need the maf-to-throttle body intake tube. without any cracks or holes...

if it has black door pulls for the front i would buy them also

Turbo, you may have most of it sold by the time you get it! I'll try to think if there is anything else I need.

Does it have bucket seats? If so how much for them, the brackets, and the center console? Shipped to 95926.

Sorry guys slow on the draw here but talking to him about the truck and price he is out of town so will let you know soon as I know anyting.
