MY MOTOR HAS 125,000 MILES, A BLOWN HEAD GASKET (white smoke & antifreeze blows out tailpipe), and i have a bad lifter or lifers. I WAS WOMDERING IS IT BEST TO BUY A $400 MOTOR WITH 80,000+MILES OR FIX MYS?

By the time you buy two new heads, because your WILL be cracked, Lifter, and all the gaskets and head bolts you will be well over $400, probably closer to $600 and that's just in parts not labor.

If the 80K engine is in KNOWN good shape then jump on it but be safe, check everything in the cooling system. Install a new thermostat and have the radiator cleaned and tested along with the water pump. Your engine overheated for a reason don't transfer the problems to the new one.

ha try more like 850-1200 for that job around here and thats just labor probably imo
