I've tried searching with little success. I know people have converted to disc brakes without changing master cylinders, but it seems to be recommended to change to a 95+ one. Does my stock (92) master cylinder have a residual valve that needs to be removed? Can I do this? Or will adjusting the master cylinder like in the tech article back off the pressure enough to cause the rear brakes to not drag....

Also, TSMMFG sells the hardline to caliper hoses for $50, anyone know which fittings I would need on the hardline end and banjo end. I bet they could tell me so if I find out I'll post it...

Thanks guys.

The hoses are AN - 3 3/8 - 24 on the hardline and M10 X 1.5 on the banjo end.

Couple things-

There is a part number for a 96 master clylinder floating around on the message board here for use with the late dics onto early axle swap- Brett provided the info, but I dont remember the thread so a search may turn it up.

Also the stock caliper hoses are only like 20 each from Ford Parts Networ, or you can get a set from Currie for 38 I think if you are using the 95 up calipers.

Good Luck

Steve, thanks for the info on the hoses. Cheaper than TSM.

If anyone else has any info on the stock master cylinder that would be great, it would probably save a lot of money to not have to pay someone to swap it out and bleed the whole system. Thanks.

Use the 96 Master Cylinder w/o speed control. Forget the part number, but should be able to look it up at Ford. Also, get a brand new MC and not a rebuilt one. Napa has them for about $120.

Also, since you have a Rear ABS (RABS) valve, you'll need to bleed that first.
