Hello all,

I'm a new member but have come here over the years to figure out issues with the Xploder so I would like to say straight off THANKS for all the great info on this site:salute:

Now I have an issue that I have researched tested researched tested.... yeah you get the gest of it..

I have a 1992 Sport 4.0, me and the wife went out two weeks ago for about 3 hours shop hoppin and such (I filled the tank just before this jaunt started from QT)

We got shopping done and about half mile from the house at the light notice the truck has a slight miss to it was thinking ok it's due or plugs/ wires should be no prob didn't give it a sec thought...
Take off from the light and it has zero power and chugging is getting worse to the point we didn't think it would make it to the drive...

Anyway I've replaced: Fuel filter, plugs/wires/coil, noticed tranny fluid from vacuum mod line so replaced that too, MAF, Idle Control, ohm'd the injectors, checked the fuel rail pressure, new O2 sensor (while doing this I left the Sensor out to see if cat was plugged and was a back pressure problem still Idled the same)

Had my brother-in-law over and we checked over a few more things and noticed something interesting..

We pulled injector wires one at a time 1 almost made truck die but 2 and 3 not alot of change 4 and 6 almost died but 5 nothing...

We bared some wire on the white and tan injector wires because a couple of injectors sound weak and wanted to see connectivity...

I hooked up a test light to the tan wire and lit up but the idle got better too... so much that it sounded almost normal again still a slight miss but ALOT better than before...

So I'm at a loss... Is this the injectors bad and electrical issue I need to track down...

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Steve

I'll double check have the sheet with numbers but lost it... I remember it was in spec so i wasn't worried about fuel getting to the rail..

I replace (salvage yard) injectors things aint cheap and money is tight so i got a rail with injectors for fifty and I replaced the harness (another 35 bucks) since the other was spaghetti'd with someone else's patch work that way i could atleast say it's not a bad connection etc.

It actually is drivable but it's still missing, rough idle but it I can baby it and try some other things out...

any ideas anything i can look at?
