A reputable "boneyard" may be able to tell you, especially if you hint that you'll buy the head from him...... imp

It will, but the combustion chamber on the older head is larger. It will lower your compression.
I wouldn't do it. If you can find a 95-98 head, it has the same sized combustion chamber that you have, and larger exhaust ports.
Im betting any head you find in a graveyard will have a crack in it anyway, unless the old owner went with an aftermarket casting before the vehicle was junked.
The factory castings crack. Its just what they do.
