'92 Ranger Supercab
Hi guys and gals,
I've got a '92 Ranger Supercab that's been driving me nuts. I've owned it since '98, and in the last year or two it's been leaking water into the cab at the front, under the dashboard and then under the carpet after it's been rained on. I've had the windshield replaced and was told these Rangers tend to leak at the top corners of the windshield, where the body sealing cracks. I've gone wild with caulking, all around the windshield, at those top corners, in an effort to stop the leaking, but to no avail. It's starting to really tick me off. Any idea where the problem could be? Any known issues I need to check into? Maybe it's time to rip the complete dash out? Any and all help would be appreciated!
thanks,
Steve

Yeah, dude...I too have a '98 and have owned it since new and same here, I have had the windshield replaced 2 times and to no avail...it leaks!!! It drips right in front of me as I drive and hits the steering column! Let me know if you find a fix!!

i think it comes out of the vents.....heater core problem or something....i have heard of this jut cant remember the solution....

I used to have a 90 ranger. I had a windshield replaced, and put sealer in the gutter above the windows (My newer Ranger doesn't have this), and I couldn't find the leak either. My leak dripped on my left knee. If it's the same as your 92, I fixed the leak by putting a little RTV along the seam between the left side windshield "post" and the top of the cab. The seam was only about 2 or 3 inches long. I used a very small bead of clear RTV so it couldn't be seen.
