92 starter problems

The starter on my 92 Explorer XLT just went out and we are having problems getting it off. I was wondering if you had to take a crossmember out or something to get the starter off? any help will be much apreciated

You do need to remove the front drive line if its a 4wd. This may not be 100% necessary, but it does make it A LOT easier.
