I have a 93 EB 4.0 V.6 It runs excellent with 105,000 miles on it. My gas gauge doesn't work and I was wondering if anybody knows the approximate mileage range with a full tank. I have been filling it up once the odometer hits 200 miles. I would like to go longer between fill ups but I am not sure how far I can go and still have a safe amount left in the tank.

I can usually get about 300 miles out of a tank, a bit more if i drive "grandma style" and a bit less if I drive heavy. According to the owners manual, the tank is like 19 point something gallons, but sometimes I can get over 20 gallons in it. If my guage didnt work, i think i would fill it up about every 200 miles like you are, just to be safe.

It really depends on the mileage your getting..

Best thing to do is fill up the tank.. drive 200 miles or so.. then fill it back up (use the same gas station if possible)..

Now lets assume you drove 200 miles.. and when you filled it up again it took 13 gallons..

that means you used 13 gallons for 200 miles which is roughly 15.3 miles per gallon...

Your tank is around 20 gallons if your a 4 door (not sure about sports)... Soo.. if you can go 15.3mpg and you have a 20 gallon tank you can go about 300 miles in a tank..

I know that you can fit more than 20 gallons in a tank (if your a 4 door) but you don't want to run out of gas so it is better to figure a little low than high..

I always fill up around 250 miles (only because the closest gas to the hosue is 18 miles away).. but when I'm in town and low on gas I'll fill up at around 280 or so.. I don't want to push it too much.
