My 93 explorer v6 is giving me headaches. Starts up great cold, but once it warms up has a serious hesitation when hit the gas, and stalls when put it in gear. Then I have to hold gas pedal all the way to floor to get it to stat again.. Not throwing any engine codes, so I'm not sure where to start

Great write up for testing and cleaning MAF. 1st thing to do is merely disconnect the MAF wiring plug so that the computer reverts to default settings. See What changes that makes. Another possibility is the idle control is dirty, but that is really just for idle problems. Best of luck.

I would also check your fuel pressure. Might be your pump or relay.

It runs ok when cold because it is in closed loop, as soon as it warms up it enters open loop, but the pcm may not be getting the right readings. Most likely your MAF is sending the wrong signals and the pcm is trying to run a way too rich mixture and floods the engine. Disconnect the maf during warm up and see if it runs better as it continues to warm up to operating temp. If Yes, replace MAF.
