'93 Explorer XLT Frame Specifications? - For A Plow

the part that interchangeable is the plow and its frame. check uncle henry's there might be something in there. i got mine from luck. i happen to be going to a patriots game with my wife's uncle and saw his son got a new plow. so i asked what he was doing with the fisher. so i bought it. pretty much luck as well. also call fisher dealers that are around you. you can get there numbers off of fishers website. see if they have any used ones. sometimes you can get lucky.

For what it's worth I suggest an old beater. I think it's a lot cheaper. An 800ft. driveway can be something to contend with. I would think you could find an old 3/4 ton with an 8ft. plow for off road use for around 12 or 15 hundred dollars, but not this late in the season. All of the plow trucks have evaporated in the last 2 weeks here in Maine. I know that I wouldn't be happy spending 2 1/2 to 3 thousand and being limited on what you could push with it. Both of my X's have been good family vehicles but I wouldn't expect to beat them plowing snow and having them stay as reliable as they have been.

I have been plowing with mine for a year and a half now, it hasn't hurt it at all. if you plow correctly u will be fine. if u beat the hell out of it u will hurt it.

Hey GenLee, do you have any pics of your Ex with the plow on it or any action shots of you plowing with it? If you do could you post one or e-mail it to me?

this is the only one i have now. i will see if i can get others.

TheRookie, there is a reason that plow is that cheap. it isn't any good. it is a peice of junk. would work if u lived in a place that go snow once or twice a year but not anywhere where you have a lot of snow. it is cheap and won't hold up. there is a guy near by that has one and after every snow storm it is in the shop. We have had 2 big storms this year. 1rst was 2 1/2 feet and the other was a foot and a half. both times plowing i have pushed snow so it was as high as the bottom of my window and it kept going. you can't do that with one of those plows. they suck, don't waste the money instead put it towards a real plow, Fisher or even another top brand but not that.

Not doubting they suck, no way I would plow anything with my X, I gotta swap trannies WAY too often as is. Just mentioning they exhist
