the fuel gauge on my 93 eddie bauer doesn't work. Is it an easy fix? How do I tell if its the gauge itself or the sending unit. If it is the sending unit, is it easy to replace?

You should be able to test the sender unit as follows:

Disconect the plug inside the chassis rail by the fuel tank. Use an ohm meter set at the 200ohm range and probe the lead to the tank (they are the top and bottom pins on one side) you should get between 160 ohms for full tank and 15 ohms for an empty tank. If it is way out then you need a new sender and have to drop the tank to replace. To test the gauge with the plug seperated the gauge should read full (max resistance).
Hope this helps some.
